T O P I C R E V I E WpeacePluto or Saturn?.Hexxiepeace, hello! i cannot answer your question because they are quite different energies! what i have done though, is type out the magi astrology definitions of these planets. perhaps you will find what you are looking for in these descriptions! quote:SATURN is symbolic of too much or too little of something, and never just the right amount. It is also the planet of control and dominance, and the desire for control and dominance over others. Saturn represents restrictions and constriction – contraction of what is helpful, and expansion of what is harmful. It governs scientific thinking and whatever is contrary to Judeo-Christian traditions. It is symbolic of obsruction, limitations, shortages, destruction, losses, mistakes, hindrances, disruptions, bad luck, dissolutions, and breaking apart. It is also representative of revenge, selfishness, and narrow-mindedness. Saturn is the planet of deception; and signifies temptation, deceit, deceitfulness, the occult and attraction to the occult, and also confusion. Saturn also governs frustration, disappointment, being unhappy, as well as haterd and repulsion. What’s interesting to note is that Saturn signifies temptations of all kinds and being unable to resist them. Saturn is also a sign of being below average, in a weakened status, in ill health, and in a state of diminished vitality and/or capacity. There are problems in this world, so there has to be a planet that signifies them – and Saturn is the one that does.PLUTO is the ruler of sexuality, lust, obsessive desires, and the sex organs. (This overlaps in some ways with Mars, which symbolizes pure physical attraction, but there is a difference.) Pluto is also representative of power; the establishment; and things that enhance or preserve power, such as atomic energy and weapons, politics, great success, big business, corporations, and advertising. Pluto signifies dictatorships and oppression, as well as the state of being oppressive; this leads to Pluto signifying the super ego and undeserved self-esteem. Pluto represents the ingredients of great wealth, such as investments, the banking industry, the loaning of money, the issuance of debt, and the ability to pay it back; as well as most financial instruments, such as bonds and mortgages. It also represents gambling and betting, the trading of financial instruments of all types and profits therefrom. It provides the ability to take advantage of and capitalize on something in order to make a profit. Pluto has dominion over drastic changes that are true upheavals, and in this regard, it represents beginnings and endings. Pluto rules obsessions of all kinds, including emotional and sexual ones. Also, Pluto is ruler of the actual sex act, as opposed to lovemaking and seduction, which are ruled by Venus. Venus seduces you; Pluto simple throws you on the bed and says, “Take off your clothes.” Pluto is, therefore, symbolic of sexism and male chauvinism.------------------~Libra Sun / 29* Gemini Rising / Aquarius Moon~lalalindaThe're both all powerful so it would depend on what you're talking about. In an individual chart or just the planet? In astrology Saturn is the planet of karma, this is where you work out lifes lessons. Transits of Saturn are periods of testing.Pluto is karmic also but it doesn't give you problems to work through like Saturn. Pluto is more how you pick up the pieces (death) and go on. In this case death does not have to be physical but can be. It can debilitate or cripple. Like in the case of Christopher Reeve or Roy (Siegfried & Roy) and the God Pluto.Rev. AlicePluto represents "the power to do"....literally "I can..."Saturn grants "the right to do", it is your authorization based upon your level of maturity------------------You are a blessing and you are blessed. Rev. Alicewww.lifeprints-for-living.comcappymewell if you're asking transit-wise, I'd give pluto more importance, because they're long and they're very rare, don't get me wrong, the saturn transits are important too, but pluto transits are more rare and much longer, it wont come back again. Saturn would be more important though if you had a very saturnian chart. If you're talking about generally, I think both are equally important.------------------"It is never too late to begin the journey of Awakening. Once you are fully awake, you will discover waiting for you an unclaimed gift with your name on it. This gift is there for the taking. It is the gift of your life!" - Dr. Robin SmithTheEvolutionplanets have different domains to work on. they don't take over each other.however, they do tend to influence more power than the other in a natal chart depending on their position.by the way, peace, u never told me about what u decided with regards to working in india. hot_iceI want pluto and saturn!! TIE!!!!But the bad part is in Indian astro, pluto does not even exist!!! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!My best planet! sob! sob! all trines and with all the "cool" planets(sun merc, moon mars)Too bad! arrrggg!!!!My saturn is kinda weirdly place no good things to it,so if its powerful then It will be bad for me? My logic: big powerful dude is hit up by other planets he gets angry and lashes out..on meeee!!!!peaceEvolution,Now it's time to pay respects to the people of India who lost loved ones a year ago from a tsunami. In the meantime,I'm relaxing till New Year. lioneye68Peace to what you said. It's the anniversary of that cataclismic, rather Plutonian event. If you mean when they are in a stressfull aspect to each other, in a natal or synastry chart - the general rule of thumb is that the further out a planet is, the more power it has. The theory is, as the planets get progressively further out, the more closer to Universal Truth, and thus more powerful they become - that's also due to the fact that they move so slowly, and influence is for much longer periods of time. They stick around until the job is done, against our will or not, and in a more complete way.Saturn just throws immediate and tangible lessons at us, and causes growth and/or misery that we can't ignore, then it moves on. The trick is to GET IT, and if you don't it'll leave you alone for a while, but it'll be back, and it'll be meaner. If you do, it'll be back and it'll reward you. The further out planets don't let you off the hook for what seems like forever. They are stronger than Saturn when in a duel, because they can attack from the inside, very deep inside. Saturn is the end of the personal, tangible planets, and it's jurisdiction stops there. It's not concerned with much more than how you conduct yourself during your life on the solid earth. The further out planets expect more from you. Do you get what I'm saying? cristinamesince u've warmed up with that, try settling this one, too: which one is more powerfull? batman, spiderman or superman? well, superman, of course no doubt'bout it! now..if you'd've asked about Superman and The Powerpuff Girls...now THAT is a difficult one!lotusheartoneWonderWoman, hehecristinamehey, lotus you may be ON to something'here...
